1. Overview
BMW Bumper cameras#66539240352 provide early detection of cross traffic at exits and intersections where a full view of the surrounding situation is not possible. Sitting in the driver’s seat, it is very late to recognize a vehicle obscured by side obstacles. In order to improve visibility, two cameras on the left and right in the bumper will detect side traffic. The sensing range of the camera is up to 100m. The bumper camera is an integral part of the panoramic camera.

2. Functional description
The BMW bumper camera transmits the signal via an LVDS data line to the TRSVC control unit for its use. The signal is forwarded via the FBAS wires to the video switch (VSW) and then to the host. The host computer sends the image data to the central information display (CID) through the LVDS data wire. Image data will be displayed within the CID.
